TOTAL Transportations’ roots in the moving industry dates back to the early 1960’s. The owners of TOTAL Transportation, Scott and Toby Pustai, are the sons of Ted Pustai. Ted was employed with Tippet-Richardson for over 30 years. During his career, Ted founded the Special Products Division for T-R in 1976. In 1990, Ted retired from T-R as the Vice President of the Special Products Division.
As young teenagers, Ted’s sons, Scott and Toby, began working at T-R during the summers and weekends through high school and university. Following university, both Scott and Toby took full time positions with T-R. Ted retired from T-R in 1990, and shortly after, Scott and Toby formed TOTAL Transportation Solutions Inc.
Incorporated in 1994, the focus of TOTAL Transportation was to provide a higher end, specialized moving service. In 1996, Scott and Toby purchased the Special Products Division from Tippet-Richardson. This led TOTAL to the continued growth and development in the high value special products market which now includes various types of high value goods, data center relocation services, rigging services, project management, as well as the refined transportation and handling of fine arts and museum artifacts.
As a result of both their family and career background, both Scott and Toby take a very hands on approach to managing the business and developing the staff. We recognize the dynamics of our customers’ business is ever changing and are prepared to invest and align our services to meet the needs of all customers of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
